“Granny Lucy”

When a trio of sisters fail to outrun collections services for their uncouth spending habits, only the devil can save them–and since craftiness runs in families, only the devil’s granny can save them from him.

“Granny Lucy” is an urban-fantasy retelling of a lesser-known Grimm tale, “The Devil and His Grandmother.” You can find it in A GRIMM EVER AFTER, an anthology of 16 contemporary retellings of Grimm tales, published by the American Night Writers Association.

“Harmony’s Melody”

Sisters Harmony and Melody want nothing more than to escape the abuse of their cruel adopted mother. When tragedy strikes on the high seas, their desperation takes a horrific turn.

“Harmony’s Melody” is a ghostly, macabre tale that speaks to the power of love. You can find it in ABOVE, BELOW, AND BEYOND THE SEA, an anthology of 16 sea-faring historical fiction stories published by the American Night Writer’s Association. “Harmony’s Melody” is also an origin story for some of the characters in Skye’s Chamber House project.
